If you have limited Internet traffic, then prioritizing what applications can connect to the Internet or not can be quite important. This is where TripMode comes in. The application is designed for use on the road. It lets you decide which applications may connect to the Internet and which may not. The process is extremely simple, so you don't have to spend too much time with this issue.

TripMode is free to try for a limited period of time, but without any functionality restrictions. Downloading the setup file and installing its components shouldn't take more than a few seconds, even on a slower computer. There are no special requirements you have to meet and you don't need powerful hardware.

All you have to do is launch the application, click a button and choose which applications can send and receive information over the Internet. This can be done on a small panel, in the lower right corner of the screen, which you can bring up through a system tray icon.

Once you activate the trip mode, the application will automatically block all applications, but you can unblock them by clicking their corresponding check boxes. Also, TripMode lets you know how much data they have used.

TripMode gives you full control over all applications when it comes to which ones may connect to the Internet.

Pros

You can block or unblock applications with a single click. The software is lightweight and it doesn't require too many resources.

Cons

There are no obvious issues to mention.
